Product Care Instructions
Product Care Instructions
At Lumeera, many of our jewellery pieces and bags are handcrafted, hand-painted, moulded, or assembled with delicate detailing. Proper care will help preserve their colour, finish, and beauty for longer.
Jewellery Care
- Keep jewellery away from water, perfume, deodorant, makeup, hairspray, creams, sanitiser, and other chemicals.
- Avoid wearing jewellery while bathing, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or doing household work.
- Sweat, moisture, and humidity may affect the polish, plating, paint, adhesive, or finish over time.
- Allow perfume, makeup, and skincare products to dry completely before wearing jewellery.
- After every use, gently wipe the jewellery with a clean, soft, and dry cloth.
- Store every piece separately in a dry pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratches, tangling, and rubbing.
- Do not pull, twist, bend, or apply pressure to delicate chains, beads, flowers, stones, or decorative elements.
- Keep jewellery away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive heat, and humid areas.
- Do not clean jewellery with water, wet wipes, sanitiser, soap, or harsh jewellery-cleaning solutions.
Special Care for Dark-Coloured and Hand-Painted Earrings
Our dark-coloured, floral, and hand-painted earrings may involve detailed craftsmanship, multiple finishing layers, and several days of curing. Minor variations in colour, shape, texture, or finish are natural and make every piece unique.
- Dark-coloured and hand-painted surfaces require extra protection from moisture, sweat, friction, and chemicals.
- Avoid direct contact with water, perfume, creams, makeup, hairspray, and other liquids.
- Do not rub, scratch, wash, or wipe the painted surface with a wet or damp cloth.
- Hold the earrings by the base or metal fitting instead of pulling the petals or decorative elements.
- Store them separately so that the painted surfaces do not rub against other jewellery.
- Dark-coloured earrings may release or transfer slight colour over time when exposed to moisture, sweat, perfume, or humidity.
- Avoid wearing dark-coloured earrings with light-coloured clothes, especially in humid conditions or when sweating, as slight staining or colour transfer may occur.
- Make sure the earrings are completely dry before storing or wearing them again.
- Gradual fading or minor changes in finish may occur with regular use and exposure to moisture.
Bag Care
- Keep bags away from water, rain, excessive moisture, perfume, sanitiser, oils, makeup, and harsh chemicals.
- Avoid placing the bag on dirty, wet, rough, or sharp surfaces.
- Do not overfill the bag, as excessive weight may affect its shape, handles, stitching, zip, or hardware.
- Store the bag upright in a cool and dry place.
- Fill it lightly with clean tissue paper or a soft cloth while storing to help maintain its shape.
- Store it inside a dust bag or soft cotton cover. Avoid storing it in plastic for long periods.
- Protect the bag from prolonged direct sunlight, as it may cause fading or discolouration.
- Gently wipe dust with a clean, soft, and dry cloth.
- Do not machine wash, soak, scrub, bleach, iron, or dry-clean unless specifically mentioned on the product page.
- Avoid rubbing light-coloured bags against dark denim or strongly dyed fabrics, as colour transfer may occur.
- Handle chains, clasps, zips, embellishments, beads, straps, and metallic fittings gently.
- For ruched, textured, embellished, or handcrafted bags, avoid pressure and friction against rough surfaces.
- Keep the bag away from sharp jewellery, pens, makeup products, and leaking bottles.
Important Note
Handcrafted products may have minor differences in colour, texture, shape, placement, or finish. These are not defects and are part of the handmade nature of the product.
Normal wear, gradual fading, tarnishing, colour transfer, staining, scratches, peeling, or damage caused by water, sweat, chemicals, humidity, improper storage, friction, overloading, or rough handling will not be considered a manufacturing defect.
